MSNBC criticized for response to terrorism story →
I suppose the correct response would’ve been to preempt all programming and sit around speculating about the terror attack for hours on end. I didn’t see MSNBC’s treatment of the situation (or CNN’s, or Fox News’s), but I know there wasn’t a whole lot to report other than: Someone tried to blow up a plane; The plane and everyone on it are OK. I’m all...

The three E's of Twitter →
Engage, educate and entertain—yes, that third one pertains to news orgs. Be as dry as you want on your carbon-copy-of-the-print-edition Web site, but Twitter’s a cocktail party and you don’t want to be the d-bag who’s trying to float a sales pitch all night.

Apple Approves Video Recording App for iPhone 2G... →
Apple just approved a new app that allows iPhones other than the 3GS to record video. That’s right, both your iPhone 3G and even the older 2G model can now shoot video, without jailbreak. I’ll wait and see, but it’s about time Apple took the cuffs off of the older iPhone models.
